After visit, Auburn 'at the top' for big OL Ian Geffrard
Auburn has taken the lead for big offensive lineman Ian Geffrard.
Geffrard, from Whitefield Academy in Mabelton, Ga., took an official visit to Auburn this weekend and left with the Tigers ‘at the top.”
“I really enjoyed my time with the coaches and a lot of the recruits,” Geffrard said. “I have a lot to think about after this weekend. Auburn is at the top of my list.”
Geffrard has many reasons for having the Tigers at the top, but it begins with his experience during the visit.
“The interaction that the staff had with one another and with the other recruits and their families as well,” Geffrard said. “And the experience that I had here with other recruits. I had a lot of bonding time with recruits like Jah (Jamaal Jarrett) and Brock (Glenn).”

Geffrard, who currently is 6-foot-6 and 370 pounds, spent a lot of time with Friend.
“I learned a lot about him and who he is off the field,” Geffrard said. “Him and Coach (Joe) Bernardi. It was fun and interesting to observe who they are.”
Next for Gerrard is an official visit to Boston College June 10-12. He’ll take an official visit to Arkansas the following weekend (June 17-19). He doesn’t plan to make a decision anytime soon.
“I plan on making my decision sometime in December,” Geffrard said.
