BREAKING: Auburn 4-star IOL commit Kail Ellis reclassifies to 2025 class
Four-star interior offensive lineman Kail Ellis has reclassified to the 2025 class and will sign with Auburn in December.
Ellis, who attends Cass High School in Canton, Ga., announced his plans Sunday on social media.
“Auburn, myself and my family feel like it gives me the best opportunity to achieve what I’m trying to achieve,” Ellis said. “God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to play this game, so why not come in early learn from the veteran guys and work my butt off to fight for a job?”
Ellis also talked with Auburn coach Hugh Freeze and offensive line coach Jake Thornton before making the decision.
“After talking it over with Coach Thornton and Coach Freeze, this is the right decision,” he said.

It also did not hurt that the Tigers recently received a commitment from four-star quarterback Deuce Knight.
“With the current 2025 class of linemen and now with Deuce coming, I can’t wait to be his center,” Ellis said.

Ellis is the 26th commitment in Auburn’s 2025 class and the sixth offensive linemen. He joins in the class five other linemen in Tavaris Dice, Broderick Shull, Tai Buster, Jacobe Ward and Spencer Dowland.
“Excited is an understatement,” Ellis said. “I’m excited to be a part of the Auburn culture and being able to be developed early. Again, just what God has blessed me with and knowing I’m going to get to be part of this elite class of 2025 is special. This 2025 class is different!”
Ellis plans to finish out his junior year of high school and report to Auburn in the summer.
“I will be signing on Dec 4, which is just a few months away,” he said. “I will enroll in June, so that I can fulfill my academic responsibilities.”
Ellis said he likely will take an official visit to Auburn the weekend of the Texas A&M game (Nov. 22-24).
“I’m just ready!!,” he said. “It’s as simple as that. Ready to be a Tiger.”
