Auburn basketball ranked No. 15 in Preseason AP Poll
AUBURN – On Monday afternoon, the Auburn Men’s Basketball team came it at No. 15 on the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Tigers have been ranked four times out of the last five years in the AP Poll, the highest being in 2018 when Auburn was ranked No. 11. Other preseason rankings that Auburn is listed in include the Preseason Top 25 by KenPom (No.13), CBS Sports (No. 14), and Blue Ribbon College Yearbook (No. 15).
For the first time in program history, Auburn earned No. 1 rankings in both national polls this past season. Two players from this team, Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler, were named All-Americans and eventually drafted in the first round.
There are still many impact players returning on this roster. Junior guards Wendell Green Jr. and K.D. Johnson are both returning, along with center Dylan Cardwell and forward Jaylin Williams. They will be accompanied by a Top-15 recruiting class highlighted with five-star Yohan Traore, four-star Chance Westry, and more.
