Auburn Football Roster Tracker: Amaris Williams' potential departure, secondary signees

AUBURN — Two seasons down, two recruiting classes down and two transfer portal classes down in the Hugh Freeze era. Freeze is now 11-14 overall and 5-11 in SEC play. The on-the-field results have been disappointing, but the efforts on the recruiting trail have provided hope for the future. Needless to say, this offseason is incredibly important. Freeze and staff need to make another big jump in elevating the talent on the roster, while also retaining talent that has been brought in the last two seasons. If this Auburn program is going to take off under Freeze, this offseason needs to go very well. The time is now to make real strides. LATEST: Edge Amaris Williams plans to enter the portal. Jeffrey Lee reports Auburn is working to keep Williams at Auburn, but North Carolina is pushing strong. Miami (OH) CB Raion Strader signed with Auburn. Also, Georgia Tech DB Taye Seymore signed with Auburn.
