Impact on the Auburn roster
This was expected. We’ve told our subscribers for awhile now that Johnson was likely moving on, so no surprise to anyone involved. Johnson brought energy and passion to the team, but he also brought plenty of uncertainty both on and off the court. When Johnson was locked in and focused, he was an asset on both ends of the floor. When he wasn’t, he was a liability. That was the KD Johnson experience. Johnson has one year of eligibility left. Auburn is bringing in talented freshman Tahaad Pettiford at the shooting guard position and the plan is for Pettiford to backup Denver Jones next season.
