Auburn offers its first Class of 2025 quarterback, North Shore's Kaleb Bailey
Kaleb Bailey is only a sophomore in high school, or will be this fall. He’s young, absolutely.
But Auburn already has seen enough.
Bailey, from North Shore in Houston, Texas, received news on Friday that the Tigers are offering a scholarship.
“Coach Carnell Williams texted me,” he said. “It is a great feeling. It’s a blessing. I’m glad he had the confidence in me to offer.”
Bailey admittedly doesn’t know much about Auburn. He’s never visited and has had only recent communication with the Tigers. He does know, however, that former North Shore quarterback Dematrius Davis signed with Auburn in 2021. Davis, of course, entered the transfer portal in the spring and has enrolled at Alabama State.
That isn’t deterring Bailey. Or Auburn.
Bailey expected to be a top QB in 2025
Bailey, last season as a freshman, led North Shore to the Texas Division I state championship. In the championship game in front of 40,000-plus fans, he completed 10-of-13 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 54 yards.

It’s why Auburn and others already have offered or are showing interest. In addition to the Tigers, he has offers from TCU, UTSA, Grambling, Purdue and Marshall, and interest from LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas.
Bailey, who is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, is the first and only quarterback in the 2025 class that Auburn has offered.
