Auburn OL target Connor Lew to announce commitment live on Atlanta TV

Auburn fans don’t have to wait long to find out which school 3-star offensive line target Connor Lew of Kennesaw Mountain (Ga.) will choose as his announcement is set for 6:45 p.m. ET Friday.
And, it will be on live television.
Fox 5 in Atlanta (@High5Sports) will broadcast Lew’s commitment and it also will be streamed on the station’s official website.
Auburn will have to beat out some big-name programs
Auburn is a finalist, with schools such as Clemson, Georgia and Miami also among his top choices. Lew is the No. 50 recruit in the state of Georgia for the On3 Consensus.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Lew to the Tigers (87.4%).
“In the end, I’m looking for a school where I can be developed into the best player possible while still being able to pursue my interests in the field of aviation,” Lew told On3’s Chad Simmons in July.
Lew, listed at 6-foot-3 and 282 pounds, officially visited the Tigers on June 17-19. Clemson, Georgia and Miami also got officials.
Lew enjoyed his official visit in June with the Tigers
“It was good. I had a good time,” Lew said following his Auburn official visit. “I think one of the biggest things I learned during this was the vision, and how clear Coach (Bryan) Harsin made it when we met. Just getting a chance to see the vision and the plan from here on out was helpful.”

What was it that made Harsin’s vision stand out?
“The culture,” Lew said. “They’re in a better spot than they were before he got here, and to just continue building off of that.”
Lew projects at center or possibly guard. Current Tigers center Nick Brahms was his player host on his official, and made it clear Lew could step in after he leaves.
“Definitely at center to kind of be that leader for not only this class but the O-line going forward,” Lew said. “You know, they’re losing a lot of players on the OL and he wants me to be that guy to come in and take over.”
Lew has made three or four known visits to Auburn.
“The good thing about coming up here so many times was that I kind of knew what to expect (on his official),” Lew said. “I got to let loose and absorb the information that I hadn’t yet gotten. For the most part, I didn’t have a lot of questions coming in, I was just able to hang out and have a good time.”
