Hamm was down to 306-pounds and appeared to have very little body fat. He will be working to earn a spot in the upcoming NFL Draft. Hamm made himself available to the media after competing and we caught up with him.
Question: What has the process been for losing the weight?
ANSWER: “Man, just really taking my diet seriously. I just cut out all red meats. I stay on the lean chicken and fish, everything baked or grilled. My wife really helped me dive into it and keep me where I need to be and make sure I’m not eating the wrong things.”
Question: What are you telling the NFL folks about what you would bring to their team?
ANSWER: “I’m going to be a hard worker. I am willing to come in and do whatever for the team. I’m a team player, whatever you need me to do I’m there.”
Question: You played a lot of SEC games, how does that play in your favor?
ANSWER: “I feel like at the end of the day it’s all about who is going to come in and work the hardest. Nothing is guaranteed because we played in the SEC, but like I said, I’m willing to come in and do whatever I gotta do to get on the roster.”

Question: What are your strengths and some things you need to work on?
ANSWER: “One thing everyone was saying when I move on the field, and coming in lighter is good for me. A lot of teams weren’t expecting me to come in this lean. Just showing them I’m willing to lose the weight.. That was the biggest thing. Just being able to move on the field and using my length to my advantage.”
Question: How did it feel to be back here on the plains?
ANSWER: “Man, it feels great. I miss all my brothers and getting to see them, I was gone for like three months training. Getting to see them again, I’m going to go hang with them for a little bit before I go back home.”
Question: What’s your plan for draft week?
ANSWER: “Im just going to be at home with my family. Just hoping to hear my name called.”
