Auburn RB commit opens senior season with monster performance
Four-star Auburn running back commit Jeremiah Cobb of Montgomery Catholic (Ala.) rushed for more than 2,000 yards as a sophomore. Then, he did it again as a junior.
Can he make it three seasons in a row?
If Friday night’s performance in a 41-21 win over Mobile (Ala.) McGill-Toolen is any indication, Cobb might be primed for yet another monster season.
Per Al.com, he rushed for 215 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 carries in Friday’s win. Not only that but Cobb added two catches for 61 yards.
Cobb is a true do-it-all back.
He entered the game –and season — with 4,551 career rushing yards with 52 touchdowns to go along with 35 receptions for 765 yards.
Cobb, who committed to Auburn on July 1, is the No. 7 running back and No. 165 overall nationally in the On3 Consensus. At last check, he was listed at 5-foot-10.5 and 185 pounds but gaining weight has been a priority for him.
