Auburn WR Koy Moore enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Auburn senior wide receiver Koy Moore has entered the NCAA transfer portal. He will be a grad transfer with one year remaining.
Moore, originally from Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel, started his career at LSU. He was a 4-star recruit out of high school. In two seasons at LSU, Moore had 27 catches and 248 yards. In two seasons at Auburn, Moore had 23 catches, 338 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Impact of Moore’s departure
Moore’s production fell off significantly from 2022 to 2023. He had only 3 catches for 24 yards in 2023 while working in a rotation at punt returner. As Auburn continues to work on filling out the wide receiver position, Moore was potentially falling completely out of the rotation for 2024. Auburn has several freshmen who are expected to contribute while potentially eyeing for another portal addition.
