Auburn's Derick Hall earns All-SEC First Team honors

AUBURN — Auburn senior edge rusher Derick Hall was named to the Southeastern Conference’s Coaches All-SEC First Team on Tuesday.
Hall, a Gulfport, Mississippi native, finished his Auburn career with 147 tackles, 19.5 sacks, and 29.5 tackles for loss. Hall recorded seven sacks and 12 TFL among 60 tackles as a senior in 2022 while forcing two fumbles and making an interception.
Derick Hall also earned the Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award from the Premier Players Foundation of Tampa.
Hall, along with teammate Colby Wooden, announced on Tuesday that he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft.
“Wow. I don’t know where to start,” Hall said. “Auburn family, I just want to say thank you. It’s been nothing short of amazing. My time is up and it’s a lot to process. This time here has been great. If I had to pick Auburn all over again, I’d do it a thousand times over. If you love Auburn, it’ll love you back. I know I’ll be able to come home. With all that being said, I’d like to enter my name into the 2023 NFL Draft.”

Hall continued, “Thank you for all of the Tiger Walks, thank you for all of the rolling Toomer’s, thank you for every single thing I’ve been through at Auburn. It’s been nothing short of amazing.”
Hall is a projected second-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
