Basketball report card: Auburn leads most of the way, ultimately falls to No. 17 Baylor

Auburn basketball battled all night, fighting their tail off in South Dakota to start the season against ranked Baylor. In a back-and-forth game that looked every bit like a NCAA Tournament game, the Tigers nearly came away with their first neutral-site win over a ranked opponent since beating Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament in March of 2019 on their way to the Final Four. But, a 11-2 run by Baylor in the final minutes doomed Auburn. Bruce Pearl and co. led most of the way, but in the end, it was No. 17 Baylor 88, Auburn 82. Report card and final thoughts inside...
