Basketball report card: Auburn starts slow, regroups to dominate Indiana with 28-point win
ATLANTA, Ga. -- It wasn't the start Bruce Pearl may have wanted for his team, but they sure rebounded nicely. Auburn fell behind 22-10 to Indiana in the first seven minutes of the game. The predominantly pro-Indiana crowd inside State Farm Arena was loud and the Tigers were rattled. But unlike the performance at App State, Pearl's group responded, settled down, and completely dominated the final 13 minutes of the first half. Auburn turned a 12-point deficit into a 18-point halftime lead through effort, defense and three-point shooting, igniting the large contingent of Tigers' fans into a frenzy as both teams entered the locker room after 20 minutes of action. The second half was more of the same as Auburn extended their lead before cruising to an impressive non-conference win. Go inside for final stats, thoughts, grades and more...
