BREAKING: Class of 2026 4-star WR Devin Carter commits to Auburn
Four-star wide receiver Devin Carter has committed to Auburn.
Carter, who is from Douglas County (Ga.), announced his decision Saturday during the U.S. Navy All-American Bowl.
“Their culture stands out to me,” Carter told On3. “Every time I go there, it’s like family. I feel very welcome and I’m always attended to when I need to be attended to. I value that and they value the relationship that I’m building with them.”
Carter has great relationships with Hugh Freeze and Marcus Davis.
“Coach Hugh Freeze, he texts me every Friday night before my games,” he said. “Coach Marcus Davis FaceTimes me before every game. I value stuff like that. That’s what I like about Auburn. The atmosphere is a cherry on top. I love it.”
Carter has many reasons for choosing Auburn
Carter chose Auburn over Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and Florida State, among others.

“What interests me the most is how close they’re losing these games because they could quickly turn them into wins next year with focus, coming around and building the culture even more there,” he added. “I feel like that’s what they’re doing. They’re building something special, for sure.
“I was talking with Cam Coleman when he signed with Auburn and when he did, that caught my eye. What he did this year, that was an exceptional freshman season. That’s definitely something to look at and I think they have a bright future. They have Deuce Knight and got a transfer quarterback in Ashton Daniels, so if he needs to, Deuce could sit a year and watch. I think they have a good future.”
Carter is the sixth commitment in Auburn’s 2026 class and second wide receiver. He joins fellow four-star Denairius Gray on the Tigers’ commitment list.
