BREAKING: LSU transfer LB Xavier Atkins commits to Auburn
LSU transfer linebacker Xavier Atkins has committed to Auburn.
Atkins, who has three years of eligibility remaining, announced his decision on social media. His announcement comes after he took an official visit to Auburn.
“The visit was great,” he said. “They showed me everything I needed to see. The community here, the people were great. It was awesome.”
Atkins spent a lot of time meeting with Auburn defensive coordinator/linebackers coach D.J. Durkin. The two already had a relationship.
“We go way back from him being at Texas A&M,” Atkins said. “He recruited me hard at A&M. He’s my dog and is one of the biggest factors as to why I’m here.
