AUBURN -- Well, Auburn suffered the same first-half road woes it suffered at Alabama and at Ole Miss, but this time, there was no coming back. The Tigers trailed by nine less than three minutes into the game and there would never be any point in the game after that where Auburn was even remotely within striking distance. Auburn trailed by 16 at halftime, trailed by 29 with 14 minutes left, and despite making the score a tad more respectable in the end, it was a blowout when things mattered most. It's the worst road loss since the game at Kentucky last season, when the Tigers lost by 32. The bad news is Auburn was embarrassed and if they face Florida again in the SEC Tournament, the Gators will undoubtedly have a mental advantage after the whipping they put on the Tigers. Auburn also lost an opportunity to stay tied atop the SEC standings, falling one game behind Alabama and South Carolina. The good news is according to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, the Tigers moved backwards only one spot in the seedings, remaining a potential three seed. Auburn is still No. 4 in T-Rank ratings, No. 5 in KenPom, No. 7 in NET and No. 7 in ESPN's Basketball Power Index. Florida is now No. 17 in T-Rank, No. 26 in KenPom and No. 31 in the NET. So, again, bad-looking loss, but not a loss that will impact Auburn greatly when it comes to NCAA Tournament seeding at the moment. According to T-Rank, Auburn's remaining conference SOS is 7th toughest, while South Carolina's is the 1st toughest, Alabama is the 3rd toughest and Tennessee is the 12th toughest. T-Rank projects Alabama to finish 14-4 in league play, followed by Auburn and Tennessee at 13-5, and South Carolina at 12-6. Let's dive into some brief thoughts in the aftermath of the loss...
