AUBURN -- Auburn is the only Division I team in the last 40 years to face an opponent with an .850+ winning percentage (min. 20 games into the season) and beat them by 40+ points (South Carolina was 21-3 entering today). The Tigers' 40-point win over South Carolina is the largest-ever win over an AP Top-15 SEC team and largest vs. any Top-15 team since Villanova over Oklahoma in the 2016 Final Four. Oh, and Auburn's 1.47 points per possession is the fifth most in a conference game in the last 15 years. How's that for a Wednesday night inside Neville? Auburn improved to 20-5 overall and 9-3 in SEC play, now sitting a half game behind Alabama for first place in the league.
