AUBURN -- If there's one team in the SEC that has consistently caused Auburn all kinds of problems since Bruce Pearl entered the league, it would be Texas A&M. The Aggies have beaten the Tigers eight of the last 10 times dating back to the 2015-16 season. Texas A&M has won three straight and five of the last six matchups against Auburn (12-2), newly-ranked 16th in the latest AP Poll after beating Arkansas on the road by 32 points on Saturday. Auburn's lone recent regular season win over Texas A&M was earlier that season, when the Tigers won by 15 inside Neville Arena. College Gameday was in town and Walker Kessler recorded a triple-double, scoring 12 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking 11 shots. But when the two teams faced off in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Tampa, Texas A&M dominated most of the game and knocked the Tigers out of the conference tournament. Going back, Auburn was a perfect 16-0 inside Neville Arena during the 2019-20 season, until March of 2020. Texas A&M came to town and won by three on Senior Night, handing the Tigers their only home loss that season. In January of 2023, Auburn had a 28-home-game win streak going and once again, Texas A&M spoiled things, beating the Tigers at home by 16 and ending the nation's longest home-win streak at the time. Since the 2006-07 season, Auburn is just 1-8 against Texas A&M at home. Auburn is 2-9 all-time at home against Texas A&M. It's a trend that Pearl is well aware of and hoping changes on Tuesday night.
