Bruce Pearl reacts following Auburn's 12-1 start, SEC gauntlet awaits: 'Very, very proud of our kids'

AUBURN -- Following the completion of the toughest non-conference schedule in the history of Auburn basketball, the Tigers are 12-1 entering SEC play after a drubbing of Monmouth on Monday evening. The conference gauntlet begins on Saturday with Missouri coming to town. All in all, Bruce Pearl and Auburn are 12-1 with six Quad I wins and a No. 1 ranking according to most, if not all, computer analytics. Auburn is No. 2 in both the Coaches and AP polls. "So very, very proud of our kids," Pearl said. "And a lot of games we played were on a neutral site and away from home. We demonstrated that we could win away from Neville and so now we get ready to start, the toughest conference schedule in the history of college basketball." More from Pearl inside.
