Bruce Pearl reacts to No. 2 Auburn's 44-point win over Richmond

AUBURN -- Coming off the Maui Invitational championship and all the focus and attention that went into the game at Duke, head coach Bruce Pearl thought the Richmond matchup might be a "trap" game. With finals starting on Monday for students, it made some sense. But there was nothing about Auburn's performance on Sunday afternoon that looked like a lazy effort, that's for sure. The Tigers won 98-54 and Pearl was quite pleased with the outcome. "I'm very impressed with my guys for being excited," Pearl said. "They honored the game and respected (Richmond)."
