Impact of Baker-Mazara’s decision on Auburn’s roster
The former San Diego State, Duquesne and Northwest Florida State College transfer was easily one of Auburn’s most valuable players this season. Baker-Mazara is currently, with the season wrapping up, the No. 18 overall-ranked player nationally per the Evan Miya player ratings. He possessed an average box score plus/minus over over 7 this season. Per Torvik’s analytics, Baker-Mazara was the third most valuable player on the team behind only Johni Broome and Jaylin Williams, averaging a box score plus/minus this season of +8.6. Baker-Mazara was never in danger of leaving the program and is projected to start at the small forward position for the Tigers next season.
