Class of 2024 4-star edge Sterling Dixon visits Auburn, leaves with offer
Sterling Dixon, one of the top edge rushers in the 2024 class, visited Auburn on Thursday and left with an offer.
Dixon, from Mobile (Ala.) Christian, learned of the offer from Auburn edge coach Roc Bellantoni.
“Coach Roc took me around campus, toured the facilities and then pulled me to the side,” Dixon said. “He asked me how many offers I had and I told him 20. He then told me that offer No. 21 isn’t just any offer, it’s an offer from the Auburn Tigers.”
Dixon was very pleased to hear the news.
“It felt amazing,” Dixon said. “It means a lot to me. My family is big Auburn fans so it meant a lot to me.”
Dixon then met with Auburn coach Bryan Harsin.
“Coach Harsin came in and sat down and talked to me,” Dixon said. “Coach Harsin and Coach Roc went over film with me and showed me how they’re going to use me. That meant a lot to me, too.”
Dixon’s 4th visit is the best visit
The visit was Dixon’s fourth to Auburn. He attended three games last fall before returning on Thursday.

“This was definitely the best,” Dixon said. “I actually got to talk to the coaches, sit down with them and go over my film. They told me what my weak points are and stuff that I need to work on, but that they love me overall.”
Following the visit, Dixon said his interest in Auburn is “very high.”
“LSU has been standing out a lot and still does, and Auburn is up there, too,” Dixon said. “I also like Florida State, Georgia and USC.”
Dixon, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, is ranked the No. 195 recruit in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted, industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks the No. 16 edge in the class and No. 9 overall player in Alabama.
