Class of 2025 Kentucky PG Ty Price returns to Auburn, impressed with 'The Jungle'
Class of 2025 point guard Ty Price visited Auburn in October and attended a football game.
Price, from Butler County (Ky.), returned this past weekend to see his first basketball game inside Neville Arena.
It didn’t disappoint.
Price watched as Auburn jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 69-63 win. He couldn’t help but notice and be impressed with the student section, also known as “The Jungle.”
“The atmosphere was great,” Price said. “‘The Jungle’, it would be fun to play in front of them. It’s a special thing having all of the students there and real close to the court. The crowd was real loud and encouraging. That really impacts the game.”
Price also spent time during the visit meeting with Bruce Pearl and lead recruiter Wes Flanigan.
“It was a great visit overall,” he said. “I got to spend a lot of time with Coach Pearl and Coach Flanigan. They are great. Coach Pearl has had a lot of success with smaller guards, which is appealing. He brings a lot of energy and is very detailed. He always has a great attitude and is just a great coach.

“Coach Flanigan is a great coach. It was great to spend time with him and build my relationship with him. He showed me around the campus and told me various things about Auburn University and how they do things there. He’s an awesome guy.”
Auburn an early factor in Price’s recruitment
It’s still early in Price’s recruitment, but he envisions Auburn being a contender until the end.
“For sure,” he said. “I’ve already been there twice and I want to continue to learn more about the program and the coaching staff. With Coach Pearl’s success with smaller guards, that obviously opens my eyes.
“I definitely plan on coming back for an official visit.”
Price, who is listed at 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, is averaging 29.8 points per game during his sophomore season. He’s receiving interest from several top programs, including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisville and Auburn.
