Class of 2025 OT Drew Fuentes visits Auburn

Drew Fuentes, a big offensive tackle in the 2025 class, visited Auburn earlier this week.
Fuentes, from Carrollwood Day in Tampa, Fla., arrived on the Tigers’ campus on Sunday and stayed until Monday evening.
Fuentes’s parents and sister joined him on the visit.
“It went very well,” he said. “I liked the campus, the environment. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.”
He spoke with Auburn offensive line coach Jake Thornton and coach Hugh Freeze.
“I talked to Coach Thornton for a good minute, and I also talked to Coach Freeze,” he said. “Coach Freeze, I like him. I like how he coaches and his overall vibe with his players. Coach Thornton, I like him, too. He was very understanding and thoughtful. I liked his vibe, too.”

Fuentes familiar with Auburn thanks to former teammate
Auburn signed Clay Wedin in December out of Carrollwood Day. Fuentes and Wedin both played on the same offensive line in 2022. The former teammates remain in contact and spent time together Sunday evening in Auburn. Wedin already has enrolled in Auburn and is participating in spring practice.
“Clay loves Auburn,” he said. “He loves everything about Auburn.”
Fuentes on Monday attended the Tigers’ practice.
“I loved it,” he said. “It’s very high tempo. I liked how they operated.”
Michigan, Penn State, Indiana, UConn and UAB already have offered the rising junior. Auburn, Georgia and Florida State are showing interest. Fuentes visited Florida State last week and Georgia on Tuesday.
Fuentes, who is listed at 6-foot-7 and 275 pounds, hopes the Tigers offer.
“I would love that, he said.
