'Disease of me': Hugh Freeze, players looking to rebuild the Auburn football culture in the offseason
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Hugh Freeze alluded to it one more than one occasion following Auburn's blowout loss to Maryland in the Music City Bowl. Internally, Freeze sees an issue with this year's football team and he's determined to change it moving forward. "My takeaway is that I’m still as confident as ever that this can be an elite football program again. It takes great recruiting, but it also takes player-led teams that put team first and the standard of the team every single day first," Freeze said. "We are still learning that. We have to demand it as coaches and we can’t waiver from it. When we get back in January, I’m looking forward to the leadership of the team doing that."
