Auburn's loss at Missouri was simply another chapter in the same book that is the 2024 season. Missed opportunities mixed with flashes of solid play, once again, resulting in a close loss. This time, it was a 17-play, 95-yard Missouri touchdown drive that did Auburn in with 46 seconds remaining. The Auburn defense played well enough to win, but couldn't come up with one more stop when it mattered most. "It comes down to execution. When you get there, make the play. It comes down to the big moments. That's what we play football for. What better situation would we want to be in than the present? The present, in that moment, was get that stop. We did not," linebacker Dorian Mausi said.
