Notable: Smith is the twin brother of 4-star wide receiver Derick Smith. The two were offered by both Auburn and Alabama. Erick Smith was uncommitted before Derick Smith committed to Alabama. Erick Smith wanted to go to Auburn regardless.
Quoteworthy: On Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis: “He is similar to my high school coach,” Smith said. “They don’t sugarcoat anything. They keep it real. He is like family, like a father figure, and that is what I need in my life. I don’t want to be under a coach that shows different sides of himself. I want them to show their true colors and that’s what (Davis) has done.”
