AUBURN -- If there's a player on Auburn's football team that isn't afraid to be transparent, good or bad, it's linebacker Eugene Asante. After three straight SEC wins and the Iron Bowl looming, Asante admitted that the team lost focus. "I feel like there was some complacency last week," Asante said. "As a football player, a young athlete, there's so much outside noise. Sometimes it can seep into your team. The Arkansas game was such a dominant game for us. We did so many great things for us. You hear those praises and you think, 'man, I'm basically where I need to be.' The greats in this sport have shown, the Tom Bradys of the world and all the great athletes that came before that, football and sports is a constant of improvement, constant state of progression, and that's really how life is. "I felt like within the locker room there was complacency going into that last weekend. We're killing that. We have to understand that can't seep into our locker room and we have to continue to work and continue to develop, and understand there's things we can continue to improve upon. We have to put it all on tape against Alabama." How does Asante and the team plan to fix that? What would a win over Alabama mean? More from Asante inside...
