Eugene Asante 'grateful' to return to Auburn, ready to 'demand' excellence from teammates and more
AUBURN -- Eugene Asante thought long and hard about entering the NFL Draft after leading Auburn in tackles (84) and finishing sixth in the SEC this season. In the end, Asante's dedication to building something special with Hugh Freeze was the deciding factor in coming back for one more ride. "The biggest thing was I want to build something special here. The biggest thing was I've seen those historic teams. The 2010 team, the 2004 team, I really do believe we can do something like that. I'm going to demand that of the team. This offseason, we're going to put our best foot forward and we're going to be the best we can be for Auburn. This place deserves it, the fans deserve it. "A lot of people interact with me on social media and I like to respond and let them know how i feel. A lot of people truly believe in us and believe in what we're building. I want to put my best foot forward and they deserve that. That was the biggest thing in coming back and trying to build something special." Much more from Asante inside...
