Former five-star Demetris Robertson arrives in Auburn

AUBURN | Demetris Robertson, the former five-star recruit from Savannah, Georgia, has arrived in Auburn, Robertson tells Auburn Live.
Robertson will undergo medical evaluations on Sunday before being able to practice. He tells Auburn Live he’s currently 6-foot, 185 pounds.
“I’m happy and blessed,” Robertson told Auburn Live.
Robertson spent 2016 and 2017 at Cal. He earned Freshman All-American honors in 2016. Robertson was injured in 2017 and didn’t play but for two games.
In 2018, Robertson transferred to Georgia. He spent the next three seasons with the Bulldogs.
Demetris Robertson announced his transfer to Auburn earlier this summer and will play for Bryan Harsin and Mike Bobo this season.

“We want to get him started as fast as possible,” Bryan Harsin told the media on Thursday.
The talented wideout brings much needed maturity and talent to an Auburn receiving corps in need of help. Harsin expressed the desire for “consistency” amongst his receivers when he opened fall camp last week.
“The details they take from the meetings, the application on the field, then what they do in the evenings, that’s a position where you better be a student of the game,” Harsin said. “I think the really, really good ones understand the game and those critical, critical moments in the game. It’s being able to put yourselves into position, based off coverage, that’s going to give us an advantage because you understand and you paid attention in practice. You saw the looks that the defense is doing, so you can respond properly when the ball’s snapped. That goes for a lot of positions, but that one in particular is extremely important for us and what we’re trying to accomplish in our offense.”
