Former Tigers RB Tank Bigsby lights it up in London, now gunning for No. 1 spot in Jags RB arsenal
Former Auburn Tigers RB Tank Bigsby was the star of the show Sunday morning in London, England in the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New England Patriots showdown.
With Travis Etienne Jr. sidelined due to a hamstring injury, it has opened the doors for Bigsby to strut his stuff.
Bigsby locked down two touchdowns for the Jags and tallied 118 yards in the Jags 32-16 victory over the Pats.
What is left for Auburn’s 2025 offensive recruiting targets??
This is the back’s second 100 yard game for the Jags in the past three games after notching 101 yards against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. Both games Bigsby has brought in over 100 yards have been additional tallies in the win column for the Jags.
Coincidence? We think not.
Could this most recent showcase of Bigsby’s talent be just what he needed to challenge the starting position from his RB1 counterpart in Etienne? With Etienne’s hamstring issues, it seems likely. Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson isn’t ready to go there yet.

“I’m a believer where injury doesn’t replace your position,” Pederson said after the game. “I think you have to have a fair competition for us. We’re blessed to have two really good running backs right now. When Etienne comes back, he’s just as explosive, just as good, just as powerful, and it’s still his job. But Tank has done some really good things. We’re going to continue to find ways to put the ball in his hands, too, because he’s a little different runner than Etienne is.”
In other words, if for some astronomical reason Bigsby is still looming as a free agent in your fantasy football league, now would be the time to snag him off the waiver wire tonight.
The Jaguars take on the Green Bay Packers this week at home, giving Bigsby another opportunity to make him a household name in the NFL.
