NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Music City Bowl is one of 14 bowl games using new helmet communications, but Auburn and Hugh Freeze have opted out of using the new technology for the game. Maryland is planning on trying out the new technology. I provided our subscribers on The Corner intel days ago on the topic, as Auburn chose not to use the technology on short notice, but had no issue with Maryland using the technology. Maryland will use the helmet communication system. Freeze addressed the issue on Wednesday as Auburn began on-site bowl practice.
