AUBURN -- Hugh Freeze said he learned a lot from his first season at Auburn. Freeze admitted mistakes were made, but he declined to go into great detail. As Freeze's second spring camp begins, he hopes increased accountability inside his program will reap great rewards. Right alongside the optimistic viewpoint around the culture shift happening among the players is the transformation of Freeze's coaching staff heading into Year Two. Gone are Zac Etheridge and Carnell Williams. Two great Auburn players and Auburn men with deep connections within the program, Etheridge and Williams resigned during the offseason. Etheridge is now on Houston's coaching staff, while Williams joined the Las Vegas Raiders coaching staff. Freeze said on Thursday, "we support Zac and Cadillac in their decisions and wish them the best." Also gone are Philip Montgomery and Ron Roberts, last year's coordinators that only lasted one season under Freeze. Montgomery's next move is unknown, while Roberts joined Billy Napier's staff at Florida. Freeze then dove into his new coaching staff hires, placing an emphasis on how "comfortable" he now is around the second iteration of his staff at Auburn. More from Freeze inside...
