'I know we can play better': Bruce Pearl reacts to Auburn's thrilling win over Tennessee
AUBURN -- Bruce Pearl said following No. 1 Auburn's 53-51 win over No. 6 Tennessee that he knew a low-scoring affair was coming. "I'm sure that wasn't a very pretty game on national television because it was so difficult to score. I knew it was going to be low scoring," Pearl said. "I just, I knew that offense was going to be difficult. But Rick Barnes' teams play the right way, they play the right way, they don't take possessions off, they don't beat themselves. I think at the end of the game, both teams were exhausted, absolutely exhausted. "Even after the game, they knew they beat a great team. Those are some of the best guards we'll face. Those guys don't take possessions off defensively. Catches were difficult, shots were contested." Much more from Pearl inside.
