In-state wide receiver Bryce Cain has committed to Auburn football.

Cain, from Baker High in Mobile, Ala., announced his decision Tuesday on Twitter. He chose Auburn over Ole Miss, Mississippi State and others.

“It just feels like home,” Cain said. “Auburn feels like the best place for me. It’s just great. The coaches, the players and just the feel … I just love it.”

Cain’s commitment comes just a few days after camping at Auburn. He was easily the best wide receiver at the Tigers’ elite camp on Friday. The camp and visit changed his recruitment.

Cain entered the camp with Ole Miss at the top, but the Tigers quickly surpassed the Rebels. He stayed after camp and toured the campus and facilities. It was then he knew Auburn was the new team to beat.

“The tour blew Ole Miss out the water,” he said. “I’m not gonna lie.”

It also didn’t hurt that Cain got to work closely during camp with Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis.

“It was fun,” he said. “He gave me a lot of reps. I just loved it. I feel like Coach Davis can develop me and take me to the next level. I love him.”

White-Cain a dangerous duo

The quarterback throwing mostly to Cain was Auburn commitment Walker White. The two connected time and time again throughout 1-on-1s.

“I’m going to be one of the dominant slot receivers and getting the ball a lot, according to Walker White,” Cain said. “We had a lot of chemistry during camp. I think I have all the chemistry with him that I’ll need. We’re going to be a good duo.”

Cain informed the Auburn coaches before leaving his visit that he was committed.

“They were shocked,” he said. “I committed on the spot. I told them, ‘War Eagle! I’m committed all the way. I’m coming to Auburn.’

“This is it for me. I’ll be back next weekend for an official visit. War Eagle! I’m going to get after it and play hard.”

On3 ranks Cain, who is 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, the No. 59 wide receiver in the country and No. 30 overall recruit in Alabama. He is Auburn’s sixth commitment in the 2024 class and fourth on offense. He joins White, running back J’Marion Burnette and tight end Martavious Collins. The Tigers also have commitments from two four-star defensive backs in A’Mon Lane and Jayden Lewis.
