Jaylin Williams on Auburn's tough offseason, making history, position battles and more
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The next time Auburn wins a basketball game with graduate player Jaylin Williams on the roster, Williams will become the winningest player in the history of the men's basketball program. "It means a lot. That freshman year team -- one more game this year, it should have been that year because of Covid. We shouldn't have won it that year. I said, that makes sense. To win that first game it will be very special for me and my family. I'm very blessed to share that with the Auburn family." Williams is a part of 87 total wins since his freshman season in 2019-20. That number is sure to top 100 career wins at Auburn by the time his career is finished. That's quite impressive. Meanwhile, Auburn has finished second in the league, won a regular season championship, and made two NCAA Tournament appearances during Williams' tenure. Auburn has won two regular season titles and a tournament title in the last six seasons, growing into one of the most consistent programs in the league in the process. "When BP first got here, he had to grind for it. He's a hard-working coach. He's preparing for practice somewhere in here right now," Williams said. "He and the coaching staff put us on a grind. It's on a whole other level. It's going to be a great year for us." More from Williams inside...
