Notable trait/Auburn fit: Robinson, first of all, is an Auburn fan. Secondly, he is a vicious hitter at safety.

Quoteworthy: “Auburn is home. I really love it at Auburn. All of my family, my dad, are all real big Auburn fans, so it really means a lot. I love the environment at Auburn and the coaches. The fans come out every game and support you. You can tell the fans really love the game and everything around it. It’s like a big family.”

Breakdown

— There is not a lot of evidence in Robinson as a pure coverage player, but based on the way he beelines toward ball carriers, he has enough speed to hold his own on the backend.

— Robinson has the capability to cause turnovers at a high rate. His goal is to jar the ball loose from the ball carrier or while breaking up a pass.

— Forget about the ability to hit, he is always in the right place. He seems to be one step ahead at times, much like former Auburn safety Smoke Monday. Sometimes it is as if he was in the offensive huddle before the play. Even with some limitations in speed, Robinson is a safety due to elite play recognition skills.

SEC readiness

Robinson is well put together and is fearless when it comes to contact. He jumps routes, keeps the top on the defense, and anticipates routes. His mind is ready for the SEC to go along with his highly physical mentality. Also, the Tigers are always in need of more nasty attitudes on the football field.
