Liberty assistant Kent Austin joins Hugh Freeze's staff at Auburn
Former Liberty assistant Kent Austin now is a member of the offensive staff at Auburn under new coach Hugh Freeze. He’s been on Justin Hokanson’s coaching staff tracker as a potential hire, but we’ve now confirmed Austin is recruiting and offering prospects on behalf of the Tigers.
What role will he have on Freeze’s staff?
Per Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee, Austin most likely will work with the quarterbacks as either the quarterbacks coach or analyst.
At Liberty, Austin was co-offfensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach.
Wednesday evening, receiver recruit Eric Singleton of Douglasville (Ga.) Alexander told Auburn Live the offer he received earlier in the day came from Austin.
