8:01 pm: Auburn is able to close the pocket, but cannot get to Will Rogers. It has to get home to disrupt the timing on the concept routes from Mississippi State.
7:55 pm: Looks like a missed assignment by Kam Stutts in drop protection. He fell in love with the down lineman, and the linebacker slipped through. Anders Carlson comes in and converts on the field goal. Mississippi State 24 Auburn 6 under 5 minutes of play in the second half.
7:51 pm: Another crazy wrinkle with Tank at quarterback. A great cut up field got him free in space. Great play design and timing on the call. This is a crucial drive for Auburn, obviously. There is plenty of time to keep it on the ground as well.
7:47 pm: Ashford finds Koy Moore on the broken play which is the best play for Auburn for the most part.
7:43 pm: Mississippi State returns the following kick off for a touchdown. Mississippi State 24 Auburn 3.
7:35 pm: Another QB draw on 3rd down. It works again. Now there’s a manageable 4th down. It looks like Anders Carlson will come on to kick a field goal. Auburn at Mississippi State 1st quarter updates
7:16 pm: One of Auburn’s best plays has been the QB sneak. The fly sweep isn’t a bad idea, but I liked the QB sneak in that sutiation. Auburn turns it over in its own territory risking another score for Mississippi State.
7:10 pm: Auburn taking advantage of what Mississippi State is giving. A quick hitch, a sprint out to let Ashfrod use his legs. Good ideas so far.
7:02 pm: Another great stop against the run. Make Mississippi State go away from it. There’s no reason why Mississippi State shouldn’t go for this.
7:01 pm: The pass rush personnel is interesting. M’ba and Burks getting some work on the inside. Good push, but not getting off of blocks. Derick Hall makes another nice play in space and forces a 3rd down.
6:58 pm: It is of the utmost importance for Auburn to consistently stop the run. If it can make Mississippi State one-dimensional is will have a shot to keep them out of the end zone. Cayden Bridges was in a man coverage situation. That is not a good sign.
6:55 pm: Will Friend trying to get Ashford going with designed runs. As I said in the game previews, designed runs have not been good to Auburn or Ashford.

6:49 pm: Auburn risked it with a blitz and got burned on it. It’s worth the risk to do it, but getting burned will happen. Rushing three is proven not to work.
6:48 pm: Derick Hall makes effort plays. He can play in space as well. Nice job.
6:46 pm: Wow, A nice play call on the slow screen but Ashford can’t get the ball to the easy throw. That’s a tough deal. Also a split zone from under center to start with.
6:42 pm: Mississippi State converts on the field goal after a nice stop by Auburn’s secondary. Missssippi State 3 Auburn 0
6:40 pm: Freshman JD Rhym confidently swats the ball away from the Mississippi State receiver in single man coverage. Arkansas had success last week, but different personnel holds for Auburn.
6:38 pm: Once again, DJ James is so tough to go at in man coverage.
6:36 pm: Nice tackle by Anders Carlson to start things off.
