Live Updates: Jacorious Hart Commitment Ceremony

AUBURN, ALABAMA — Three-star corner Jacorious Hart of Loachapoka High is ready to make his college commitment. Hart, who is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, is down to Auburn, UCF, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

He will announce his college choice around 5 p.m. CT Friday in a ceremony at his school

Hart is the No. 72 corner in the country for the On3 Consensus, checks in as the No. 29 recruit in the state of Alabama and is No. 724 nationally. Hart holds an 86.67 On3 Consensus rating.

At 4 .m. CT, Auburn is the heavy favorite to land Hart, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The Tigers sit at 98.6% on the RPM, while UCF is second at around 1%.

4:20 p.m. CT: Five chairs at the table along with Hart’s helmet.

4:26 p.m. CT: Table is set. Teammates are starting to file in. Coaches are there.

4:28 p.m. CT: Jeff says the band is expected to play at this ceremony. Big event at Loachapoka High.

4:29 p.m. CT: One Clark teammate of note is there: That’s 2024 DE/DL Jamari Payne. He already has two offers: WKU and Alabama A&M. FSU, Troy and several others are showing interest.

4:34 p.m. CT: Hart’s grandparents have arrived.

4:37 CT p.m.: JC’s mother and father will be beside him. Other family members will stand behind them.

4:40 p.m. CT: Here’s how it will go down. 1. The principal will say a few works to open; 2. The coach then will say a few words; 3. And then JC will announce.

4:42 p.m. CT: Seven members of the media are here:

4:47 p.m. CT: Several people are filing in the gymnasium. Administrators and teachers included.

4:51 p.m. CT: The principal just told me JC’s GPA is 4.2.

4:52 p.m. CT: JC will already have several college courses behind him when he enrolls in college. He takes seven classes in high school, travels to Auburn to take college courses and excels in sports. He’s on pace on pace be valedictorian.

4:54 p.m. CT: Several teammates now has arrived for the ceremony.

4:55 p.m. CT: Lots of people from the community have arrived. JC is very respected around here. Many fans.

4:57 p.m. CT: More players/teammates have arrived. All teammates are wearing white Loachapoka polos.

4:59 p.m.: JC has arrived and hats are now on the table. It’s about time to start.

5:02 p.m. CT: JC’s mom has a shirt on that says “Follow your Hart” …

5:03 p.m. CT: The principal is singing Hart’s praise. Says Ivy Leagues have interest because of his academics.

5:08 p.m. CT: JC’s coach is speaking now. He has talked about how loyal Hart is to his school.

5:09 p.m. CT: JC is talking now.

5:09 p.m. CT: Hart thanks God and family and begins to cry.

5:10 p.m. CT: Hart has committed to Auburn over UCF, Miss. State and Sandy.
