AUBURN -- The rivalry between Auburn and Tennessee men's basketball is one of, if not the best ongoing rivalry in the SEC over the last seven years. Tennessee has been an established program in the SEC for two decades, as Bruce Pearl ignited that program starting in 2005. After Pearl's arrival at Auburn, it took some time to get rolling, but the Tigers have been one of the league's best teams since the 2017-18 season. Since the Tigers' Final Four season, Auburn has two regular season SEC championships and two Tournament championships. Tennessee has two regular season championships and one Tournament championship. This season alone, both programs have been No. 1 in the AP poll, with Auburn currently holding the top spot. And both programs are positioned to win another conference championship with 13 games left in the SEC schedule. The success of both programs continues to this day. There are four teams nationally with 17 wins so far this season and Auburn and Tennessee are two of them. Florida and St. John's are the others. Auburn is inside the top three in KenPom, Torvik, ESPN's BPI and the NCAA NET ratings. Tennessee is inside the top eight in all ratings. KenPom and Torvik's No. 1 most efficient offense? Auburn. Their No. 3 most efficient defense? Tennessee. It will certainly be a clash of personalities on Saturday night, with ESPN's College Gameday in the house and a national TV audience tuning in at 7:30 pm CT. Through all the success, some great games have transpired in recent years. For fun, here's a look back at the last 10 games in the series, as both teams have traded blows, high national rankings and bragging rights. Auburn has a 7-3 record in the last 10, but Tennessee currently holds a 3-1 record in the last four.
