Louisiana transfer WR Kyren Lacy visits Auburn, LSU on deck
Louisiana transfer wide receiver Kyren Lacy took an official visit to Auburn and is one visit away from making his decision.
Lacy, who entered the transfer portal on Saturday, arrived in Auburn Monday night and stayed until Tuesday. His mother was with him on the visit.
“It was awesome,” Lacy said. “I loved it. The atmosphere was great. I talked to a lot of the coaches. I also talked to T.J. (Finley).”
Lacy, who is from Thibodaux, La., met with Auburn coach Bryan Harsin, wide receivers coach Eric Kiesau and new offensive coordinator Austin Davis.
“(Davis) is a nice guy and knows his stuff,” Lacy said “He’s a great guy. He’s someone you can be around every day and learn a lot of tips.”

Lacy, Reed have long-standing bond
Lacy also spent a lot of time with coordinator of player relations Trovon Reed.
Reed knows what it’s like to make the move from Thibodaux to Auburn. He did it himself 12 years ago.
Being from the same hometown, Reed is a familiar face for Lacy. The two have known each other for years.
“Me and T-Reed go all the way back,” Lacy said. “That’s my guy. He’s family.”
Next up for Lacy is an official visit to in-state LSU. Lacy plans to be in Baton Rouge on Thursday.
“After that I’m making my decision,” Lacy said.
Lacy had 22 receptions for 304 yards and a team-high six touchdowns as a sophomore in 2021. As a freshman in 2020, Lacy led the Ragin’ Cajuns with 28 receptions for 364 yards and four touchdowns.
Lacy has three years of eligibility remaining.
