Kentucky and Clemson have been on Wilcox the longest. Ohio State offered in November and Auburn two days before releasing his top four.

Wilcox has not yet visited Auburn or Ohio State. He told Keith Niebuhr of Auburn Live that a trip to Auburn is possible.

“I’m not sure yet, but most likely I will,” Wilcox said to Niebuhr. “Why not? If the place and the coaching staff is amazing like he says they are, then why wouldn’t I?”

Auburn RB recruiting

The Tigers have a running back commitment in the 2023 class from 4-star Jeremiah Cobb from Montgomery, Ala. Despite push from several rival schools, Cobb appears to be solid with Auburn and running back coach Cadillac Williams.

Current star running back Tank Bigsby is not guaranteed to return with the chance to be drafted. The Tigers are looking for depth at the position behind returners Jarquez Hunter and Damari Alston.

The transfer portal is an option for running back, but Wilcox appears to be an emerging target.
