AUBURN -- No. 13-ranked Auburn (23-7, 12-5 SEC) hosts Georgia (16-14, 6-11 SEC) in both teams’ regular-season finale on Saturday at Neville Arena, prior to next week’s SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 13-17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The game tips at 5:30 pm CT and will be televised on the SEC Network. Auburn leads 101-97 in the all-time series with Georgia. It is the longest played series in program history (will be 199 meetings in 104 seasons on Saturday). The Tigers have won 10 of the last 13 contests in the series. Auburn has won five of the last six games at Neville Arena in the series and leads the Bulldogs 64-25 in games played on The Plains. The Tigers are looking to sweep UGA for the fourth time since 2018, after defeating the Bulldogs, 97-76, on Feb. 24 in Athens. Prior to that, Auburn had not swept a home-and-home series with Georgia since 1986. With a win, Auburn would finish the regular season at 24-7. Regardless of the outcome of the game, the Tigers are going to finish with the fifth-most regular-season wins in program history. This is the sixth time in the last seven seasons, and the 10th time in program history, Auburn has won at least 20 games in the regular season. The Tigers will honor nine seniors prior to tipoff on Senior Night – Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, K.D. Johnson, Chris Moore, Carter Sobera, Jalen Harper as well as team managers Reegan McCue, Reagan Sparks and Chase Silvers. The Tigers are a 15.5-point favorite. ESPN's Basketball Power Index gives Auburn a 94 percent chance to win. T-Rank gives the Tigers a 92 percent chance to win, projecting the score 84-68 in favor of Auburn.
