Ohio State DB commit Cedrick Hawkins visits Auburn, not deterred: 'I'm going to State'

Ohio State four-star defensive back Cedrick Hawkins took an official visit to Auburn this weekend, but remains firm in his pledge to the Buckeyes.
Hawkins, from Cocoa Beach, Fla., left the visit Sunday reafirming his commitment to Ohio State.
“It was a great visit,” Hawkins said. “It was nice to meet everybody, nice to see what Auburn is like. It was great. I loved the environment. It was cool.
“But I’m going to State. I’m pretty much all Ohio State.”
Hawkins’ sister is in the Air Force and stationed in Montgomery. It was a big reason for the visit.
“It was great to see her,” he said. “That was big.”
Hawkins also spent time with Auburn cornerbacks coach Zac Etheridge and toured the new football-only facility.
“Zac is a great dude, a nice coach. He’s wonderful,” he said. “The facilities are not done, but facilities are facilities. I’m here to play ball.”
