Georgia OT Jatavius Shivers has new interest from Auburn, plans to attend Big Cat

Offensive tackle Jatavius Shivers de-committed from Vanderbilt last week and is receiving interest from several new schools.
One is Auburn.
Auburn offensive line assistant Joe Bernardi has been in recent contact with Shivers and the new interest appears to be paying off.
Shivers, from Villa Rica, Ga., plans to attend the Tigers’ Big Cat event on July 30.
“Coach Bernardi texted me on Twitter,” he said. “It felt great. I haven’t really gotten to know him, yet, but I plan on getting to know him and building a relationship with him.”

Shivers is no stranger to Auburn. He attended Auburn’s home game last season against Georgia State.
“And I’m going to Big Cat on the 30th,” he said. “I’m planning to be there.”
Auburn has yet to offer, but that could change soon. Shivers has offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Georgia Tech, among others. He’s considering all of the schools at this point in his recruitment.
Shivers, who is 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, is ranked the No. 69 offensive tackle in the class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally-weighted, industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
