Pair of Auburn High linemen impressed with Auburn win
Two of Auburn’s top offensive line targets were in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday for the Tigers’ big season-opening win over Akron.
Here’s what Eston Harris and Drew Bobo had to say about the game, their recruitments and timelines for a decision.
OL Eston Harris:
On Aubun’s 60-10-win over Akron:
“Man, it was great. They have a very explosive offense. Coach Bobo, they all impressed me today. They looked good. They made some big changes to their offense. They weren’t that team last year. It looked good. It opened my eyes about Auburn.”
On his recruitment:
“Everything is the same right now. My recruitment has basically been on pause since the season started. My main focus has been trying to lead my team to state, be 1-0 each week.”
Official visit to Auburn?
“I will, of course. I live right over there so I’ll walk. I don’t know when it will be, whenever is best. I just need to communicate with Coach for whenever is best.”
Auburn rising for you?
“Definitely. They definitely rose. I’ve been around more, talking to the coaches more and seeing everything. They definitely rose up.”

Decision date?
“Oct. 28 is the day I have planned, but I don’t know right now.”
OL Drew Bobo.
On Auburn’s big win:
“It was really good. I thought the offense looked really good. They put up a lot of points on the board.”
On his position in college:
“I think I could play center or guard, but also have a chance to play all five and give depth wherever they need me.”
On Auburn’s offensive line:
“They looked really good tonight. They moved people off the ball and had a forceful run game.”
On a timeline for a decision:
“My dad and I had a good talk about it two weeks ago, and we’re going to sit down and talk about it pretty soon. I think it’s coming to a close soon. I think a decision could come in the next month. I feel like I’m getting close to make a decision.”
Schools in it:
“I’m looking at Georgia, Auburn and Kentucky. Auburn is recruiting me the hardest.”
Official visit to Auburn?
