Pate's perspective: For Auburn football, patience is a necessity

Rob Pate played safety for Auburn from 1997-2000. Pate helped lead two teams to SEC Western Division championships in 1997 and 2000. Now, residing in Auburn, Alabama, Pate is an exclusive contributor to Auburn Live. Losing how we did at LSU will always cause frustration and angst. It was a poor display of preparedness, execution, and tenacity—all unacceptable coming off of a bye week and riding some momentum after a four quarter slugfest against Georgia.  It’s the whiplash feeling of two steps forward, two steps back—ad infinitum.
