Predictions and game notes: No. 15 Texas A&M at Auburn
AUBURN -- Saturday night brings about yet another chance for Auburn to make some kind of statement and win a meaningful football game for the first time in years. The Tigers haven't beaten a ranked opponent since Ole Miss in 2021, and really haven't won a truly meaningful game since beating Alabama in the 2019 Iron Bowl. This Auburn team has an uphill battle to make a bowl game and beating the Aggies won't even give Auburn a .500 record. Yet, why does a win under the lights inside Jordan-Hare Stadium against a playoff contender feel like it would be absolutely massive for the program as a whole?
