AUBURN -- Bruce Pearl called it a must-win on Tuesday and his Auburn team delivered on Wednesday night. No. 13 Auburn put up 50 first-half points on the SEC's best scoring defense, running No. 11 South Carolina out of the gym in the first 20 minutes and never relenting. In the end, the Tigers coasted to a 101-61 victory and moved into second place in the SEC standings. Auburn's win ends South Carolina's seven-game winning streak that included wins over Kentucky and Tennessee. It's the seventh straight victory for the Tigers over the Gamecocks, with the last six coming by double digits. Auburn improves to 20-5 overall and 9-3 in SEC play, while South Carolina falls to 21-4 overall and 9-3 in SEC play. The Tigers have now won 16 straight home games and remain unbeaten at home this season with a 13-0 mark.
